New Book Coming Soon: The Phantom Murder - Lucas Rathbone Mysteries Book 5

Hey!

So, if you're subscribed to my newsletter or follow me on Instagram/Facebook, you've already seen this (because I'm afraid I do tend to let my blog languish alone and unloved far more than I ought to), but look! I have a new book coming soon!

Image of ebook and paperback copes of The Phantom Murder by Saffron Amatti, with the text: Mrs Murphy traded in secrets - and knows that's why she was killed. But Lucas Rathbone knows this mystery might be better left unsolved... because the suspect list includes his own mother. Coming Soon to Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and as Paperback

Just look hw pretty it is, with a shiny new cover in a bold, poison bottle blue, and with a tantalisingly mysterious title.

So, you have a new book coming soon, but what's it's about?

I'm glad you asked, because I I had a lot of fun with this one. A nine year old mystery, a list of suspects Lucas really doesn't want to have committed a murder, and the MOST irritating ghost I've ever thought up.

Seriously. If she wasn't already dead at the start of the book, I'd have been thinking up some kind of dreadful "accident" for her ASAP.

Not that that'd solve the problem, of course, when your main schtick is ghosts and that, but... well, it might have been cathartic to actually kill her off on the page, you know? Anyway, Mrs Murphy is a piece of work, to say the least, and Lucas is even keener than usual to get rid of this ghost... Until he realises who might have had a hand in her death. Because not only is his beloved mum on the suspect list, so is the vicar, the greengrocer, the pub landlords, the librarian, the newsagent... In fact, it seems like half the village he grew up in and loves dearly had motive for wanting Mrs Murphy dead. So now he faces a decision: 💀 Solve the murder and send someone he cares about to the gallows 👻 Or be stuck with a demanding, manipulative, gossipy, controlling, judgemental (told you she was a delight 🤣), holier-than-thou spirit who spends half her time calling him a godless heathen for talking to dead people, like he has any choice. Don't worry, the irony isn't lost on him. She seems to have missed it, though. But, anyway, The Phantom Murder is coming soon! It's official now, though I'm still deliberating on the actual release date, so watch this space 😊 I might do a preorder, by the way, but am still undecided. Let me know in the comments if you prefer to preorder or like buying new releases on launch day 😊 Oh, and I know I'm pulling all my books from KU, but I've decided to leave new releases in for one 90 day period, just to give KU readers at least some chance to read it in their subscription ☺️

Looking forward to sharing more about this book with you over the coming weeks, so if you've not already done the social media following thing or don't want to for whatever reason, but still want to see all the things about The Phantom Murder, head back to my main blog page and pop your email in.

NOTE: This is an automated system through my webside that's separate from my regular newsletter, so you'll need to subscribe separately.

And just so you know, I'm planning on doing daily posts for a while in the lead up to launch day, so if that sounds like something you don't want, maybe hold off subscribing to my blog until after that.

So, that's it for today! Keep your eyes peeled for more updates soon...

Catch you later!

Love, Saff xx
